Water and Wastewater
Instead of using paper log sheets, pencils and clipboards, use AuditMatic handheld computers or smart phones to get your manual data collection done right. AuditMatic lets you collect operator rounds readings, water quality measurements and other non-instrumented data without paper and pen. Readings, comments, photos and GPS coordinates are gathered digitally and send directly to your AuditMatic server or your Plant Historian without transcription delay or errors! View collected data on a map, export collected data to Excel or use the AuditMatic reporting to create your structured reports automatically.
AuditMatic allows field workers to document field conditions in ways paper and pen forms can’t touch, including:
-
Operator Decision Support: Provide operators with reference photos and condition-based real-time feedback to ensure best practices are followed when problems arise.
-
Location Verification: Using barcode, RFID or GPS AuditMatic can document that field workers went where they should have when they should have. Pencil whipping is eliminated.
-
Photo Capture: Operators can easily integrate photos of conditions they come across into their data collection form, creating a powerful troubleshooting tool for the back office.
-
GPS Capture and Mapping: Want to create a visual map of field observations? How about a map of key asset locations? No problem!
-
Automated Web Reports: Collected data can be automatically compiled into reports viewable from stakeholders' desktop browsers without reports having to be generated manually.
Applications
Chemical Treatment Reports
The chemical treatment report is a monthly report that shows the quantities of chemical additives used a facility each day. In many facilities, daily volume values have traditionally been gathered on paper during operator rounds, introducing the potential for lost paperwork, transcription errors and reporting delays. With AuditMatic Advanced Excel Reporting, these rounds-collected data values are automatically pulled from the AuditMatic database into the report. If other report variables such as chemical additive values and pH are available from a plant Historian or SCADA system, the report can be generated by the AuditMatic Advanced Excel Reporting feature without any operator input.
Flow Summary Report
Flow Summary Reports display the daily and monthly quantities of pumped water overall, as well as detail of delivery totals to key customers. It also includes a yearly summary that shows the minimum and maximum monthly flow over the year. With the use of AuditMatic Advanced Excel Reporting, these, and many other significant statistics, are easily calculated in the report, saving many hours of paper computations.
This type of report is updated once a day, adding the daily volume to each monthly report sheet. In a typical installation, AuditMatic Advanced Excel Reporter scheduler performs all of this automatically, generating a complete report without operator labor. The report is sent to the state once a year.
Monthly Operating Reports
Monthly Operating Reports differ from state to state, but using AuditMatic Advanced Excel Reporter the format desired by your regulatory overseers is simple to create. In the displayed example for the state of Texas (issued by the TNRCC), the report records turbidity and residual chlorine data used for a facility with surface water sources. AuditMatic Advanced Excel Reporter can retrieve the instrumented data from the HMI system, and operator rounds data from the AuditMatic database and merge them into a single, automated report.
Turbidity and Chlorine Report
Turbidity and Chlorine Reports are required to be submitted monthly by many state regulators. In the state of Massachusetts, for example, Form G is used to record any daily turbidity and chlorine violations within the month. Since February 2002, surface water providers must meet a number of requirements for storing and reporting of water turbidity measurements. Turbidity samples for each 15-minute interval must be archived for all individual filters and maintained for at least 3 years. Turbidity values that exceed the maximum Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTUs) must be carried forward for up to three months to determine violations in the current and future months. AuditMatic can
Discharge Monthly Report (DMR)
Wastewater facilities in most states are required to submit a Discharge Monthly Report to their state regulatory agency. Many states make these reports available on their web site for public review. AuditMatic Advanced Excel Reporter can easily and automatically create your monthly DMR report by merging data from your SCADA/HMI system and the AuditMatic handheld data collection database into a single report and automatically e-mailing it in PDF format to the state regulator and other stakeholders. |
