GPS Capture and Mapping Feature

AuditMatic has always allowed users to easily create handheld data collection forms that include rich data collection options such as numeric, text, list, image, signatures and more. Now the new AuditMatic GPS capture and mapping feature makes possible a whole new range of location-centric data gathering applications. Whether you want to confirm the route of workers while they collect data, create a database of asset locations, assess damage or other location-sensitive information, AuditMatic is the easiest tool for reaching your goal. The new AuditMatic GPS data capture feature will work with any Windows Mobile device that includes a GPS receiver or has a Bluetooth connection to a GPS receiver, including rugged handheld computers and smart phones.

How the AuditMatic GPS capture feature works:

GPS Capture
Data Gather
Pushpins

1 - The field operator is shown their GPS coordinates within AuditMatic while filling out an AuditMatic form. Clicking the “lock” link on the location form element captures their location as a precise latitude and longitude measurement within the AuditMatic (Figure 1). FYI: AuditMatic forms can include multiple PGS capture points if you wish.

2 - Once collected data has been uploaded from the handheld to the AuditMatic server via cellular/WI-FI or LAN cradle data connection, an AuditMatic report can be generated detailing all data and GPS coordinates gathered. With one click, all captured GPS data capture locations are displayed as “pushpins” on a map (Figure 2)

3 - Rolling over any “pushpin” in the map shows the date and time of data collection, photos taken by the field user, and selected text, list or numeric form responses describing the location (Figure 3).

As always, data gathered in AuditMatic can integrate to enterprise work order systems, Plant Historians  and other back-office databases.
